I'm a Gypsie...

I had to blog about my disappointment turned into a blessing...
I'm in a Rolodex page swap on YouTube and the hostess showed the punch below from 7gypsies that can be used for the pages as well as with other die shapes.
So I went and purchased it from my local Aaron Brothers, as they were the only place that carried them. When I went to use it to punch regular card stock...it wouldn't work. I took it back and even the guy at Aaron Brothers had a hard time...so he replaced that one.
When I went to use the new one on the card stock shape...it was had to punch and when it did it buckled and creased the paper.....NOT very nice looking.
Ii thought oh no what am I going to do now...this wasn't the kind of work I would want to receive or put my name to so I emailed 7gypsies!

After a couple of emails back and forth with a sweet Customer Service gal named Sierra, they were more than willing to help me out with the situation.
She sent me an email stating that they were sending me their "Border Punch Kit". I had no idea what it was but hoped it would help in this problem.
Well, I received the package a couple of days later and to my surprise this is what she sent.

I was blown away when I opened the package....this was way more than I expected. If you look in the lower left side of the package there is the punch I need and it works wonderful.
Plus, I have all these extra punches to play with now.......sweet!

Thank you 7gypsies for your help and more than generous gift....I was just hoping to get the hand held punch replaced with one that worked but this went way beyond and a special BIG Thank You to Sierra for the excellent Customer Service I received.

You don't find customer service like this anymore.....and that's how I became a gypsie...♥it!

Britney Banner...

Here's one of the projects I completed this weekend. It's a name banner for my niece in Michigan.
I sure hope she likes it.
I've seen her once in 2007 and she was only little over a year old...she doesn't remember.
I'm hoping to hook up with my SIL on Skype and to see her reaction when she gets it.

My bow easy....

I've seen so many people use one of these on YouTube and on their blogs that I thought I'd make one for myself. I a heavy plastic 12 x 12 divider sheet, traced out the form and cut it with my scissors...easy peasy....no cost to me and it works like a charm.

Remember these....

Remember these.....well hubby took it a step further......
and added handles for me....aren't they cool. I painted the handles with Folk Art Metallic paint.
Now they're easier to handle and small enough to put in a lunch baggie to take to classes ♥ it!

Busy week...

So much going on this week....don't have a clue how I'm going to get it all done......I guess I'll just take one day at a time...smile.
I've been a busy gal creating over the weekend...I'll be posting pics and hopefully a video very soon. I did manage to download the manual for my new Nikon Coolpix camera and figured out why it wouldn't take pictures or let me download them....the card had to be formatted....go figure...gotta ♥ technology!
I had hubby all to myself for 2 days and loved every minute of it...tho a couple of times we did get on each others nerves.....ahaha..who doesn't once in a while.
All is good. He's almost finished with the renovating of the downstairs bathroom...just needs the trim molding and a new faucet for the new sink....we can't find one we really like. So it's hand sanitizer for now....lol!

That's if for today....hope you all had a great weekend.

Special thoughs.....

This is a card I made for a special friend. Her two dogs had surgery last week.
One, had his leg amputated due to cancer and the other had his nose biopsied and they found out it's full of cancer as well.
I can't believe the number of stories I'm hearing lately of animals with cancer....what is wrong with this picture.

It breaks my heart that these lovable creatures have to hurt like this. They can't express how they feel so a lot of times they go undiagnosed until it's too late and their bodies are riddled with this horible disease.

Ok, I digress....the stamp set used is one from Joanns in their dollar bin. I colored in the stamped image with my Prisma pencils and then blended it with odorless mineral spirits.
I filled in the heart with Glossy Accents to give the heart a puffed look. When dried, I cut it out and popped it onto a layered piece of card stock. The rest you can figure out.
This dog stamp is so adorable ♥ it!

Altered Journal, Recycling & little bits of more

House Guest

My girlfriend rescued a dog last night from getting hit on the freeway and since she has a Pit Bull puppy herself she brought him over to stay the night at our house. Look at that cute face....♥it!
It looked like someone just dropped him off...he has BIG paws and he's only a few months old....probably got too big too fast. What a shame cuz he's fixed and well behaved.
All he wants is to be loved on.
If we had a bigger place and I wasn't allergic to dog hair we'd keep him ourselves...but I already have my little princess, Shayla!
He went back to my girlfriends and now Shayla is whining and looking out the window for him...can't believe they bonded so quickly. I forgot to mention I named him Snoop Doggie Dog......smiling!

Have a wonderful Sunday!
