Finished mini album

Here is the mini album I've been working on for the past few weeks.
I'm thrilled it turned out so nice. This is only my 3rd one but the first one to put the pictures in myself.
This is a birthday gift for my friend's granddaughter. It's all about her and her people as she calls them...lol!
This is a paper bag mini and I used the medium size pink paper bags from Michael's.
I only used 10 out of the dozen in the pack and it holds almost 100 photos

The cover is two pieces of medium chipboard painted and covered with pretty pattern paper.
The binding is a piece of light weight canvas sprayed with my homemade shimmer paints.
The letters are dimensional stickers I purchased form my LCS as well as the bling in the left hand corner. The flower is one of mine I made...it's in two different purples with a pink jewel in the middle.

This is a top view of the total album....as you can see it's not very thick and it lays fairly flat so I didn't need a closure for it.

Each page has a full picture on it and the center picket has a couple of picture tags as well, except for this one...it has a little mini according fold booklet that you can see below.
Each pocket (bag) has at least 4 photo tabbed mats in them, except for one section which has twice as many in each pocket. The embellishments are kept simple and mostly on the tabs to keep bulk down
This is one side of the mini booklet...there were quite a few pics left with just her in them and so I decided to punch each out using my 1 1/2" scalloped punch, than I ran them through my Xyron sticker maker...it worked out great. I placed some sentiment stickers on each page with the pics for an added touch.
I kept this booklet very simple as well...I needed to keep the bulk down.
The birthday party is this Saturday and proud grandma is very excited to give this to her little one♥

Work in progress...

I'm sure you can see that I've been working on my blog to get it up to date....I also set up an new blog just for selling crafty stuff, kits and handmade items.
I'm hoping I can spend more time on it tonight and get it just the way I like it.....not happy with the way it looks but it's a start.....that's always a good thing.

Now for the ultimate news......looks like we may be moving and that's been taking up a lot of my time....putting things aside for a garage sale, deciding what to put into storage, what to give away and what to pack and take.....we've lived here 13 years and we have lots of stuff. We downsized a few years ago but we just seem to keep collecting more and more stuff....lol! My craft space is a disaster....about 1/2 of the stuff must go...from sewing stuff, beading stuff to paper crafting....lots and lots to weed through.

We are still looking for a place to move but have had no luck so far....please keep us in prayer that the Lord will show us the right place at the right price.

Father's Day is on it's way...just 2 days away!

Her are a couple of cards I made for my scrubby....he has the whole weekend off...funny how that is, he usually works Mother's Day weekend...lol!

This card above I used a card from Ikea, mounted onto another piece of kraft cardstock.
I distressed the edges with Vintage Photo, mounted a strip at the bottom from the G45 Curtain Call collection. I used Tim Holtz stamp set "The Journey". The car is counted on pop dots as well as "Enjoy The Journey" that I just cut apart and staggered the words to fill in the blank space.

This next one would not come together....everything I tried was a disaster....my friend came over last night to make bookmarks for the youth group craft day...was quite amused...lol!
But this morning walla....here's the end result.
I sprayed a piece of black cardstock with SU "Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint". I like the fine shimmer it gives.....very vibrant!
I stamped the "Father"s Day" stamp that I got at Joann's dollar bin on white cardstock and than layered with pop dots onto two Spellbinder die cuts. All the white cardstock is edged with the Black Soot distress ink.
At the bottom, I placed some metal tape onto a scratch piece of cardstock, stamped it with black StazsOn ink and cut out an oval. That too is placed on with pop dots.

For the inside I stamped out a top hat from a dollar stamp set from Joanns cut it out and glued it into the corner....kinda gives it a little dimension.

That's is for my cards....hope you enjoyed them.
