Godwill haul...

Picked up this little case that use to hold cassette tapes but as you can see from the picture below that I'm using it to hold some stamp pads. It holds 16 pads for taking to crops or for just plain storage. I'm going to jazz up the outside.....when I'm feeling better.....this darn sinus infection is wearing me out. Oh, did I mention that it was under 2.00!
The three items below are a great find...the paper trimmer and the two label makers only came to $12.00. The larger of the label makers is a heavy metal industrial size and the blue is a baby label maker....now that gives me three different size labels....love it....now if I just remember to use them...lol!

That's it for today...have a great weekend!

New Card Creations

The card above was done all in black and white theme. The oval was a technique using crumpled tissue paper laid on an oval cardstock piece that I ran through my Xyron. The flower layers are ones that I created using two different flower shapes. In side the card I stamped a flourish design and covered it with black glitter....the picture didn't turn out so that's why no posting.
This card went in a package sent out on Friday to a blog friend.
The card above is going to my MIL. I used a couple of layers of cardstock...one is a peach shimmer paper and the white piece on to I ran through my cuttlebug using the small dot embossing folder I just got...this one is hard to find. Lucky it was on clearance at Joann's.
I tied an organza purple dot ribbon and placed a silk flower that I had died using alcohol inks....that was a fun day.
I used two different Spellbinder dies for the front embellishment. The sentiment lace circle has pop dots over the Ironwork Accent die cut. Two pearl embellishments placed on each end.
The butterfly is of course the Martha Stewart punch which I added three little pearls in the center.

Enjoy your weekend...I'm off to the thrift store to see if I can find anything good!

Pinterest Inspiration....

This beauty was inspired from Pinterest.
The blog the original pic was from is called
Uniquely Ella. Go check her out.
I found this gumball machine at Goodwill this morning...the original color would not do. Ella did her's in a vintage pink, tho I considered that color decided on the gloss black.
The buttons are all from my mom's collection that I inherited when she passed away. I use to play for hours on end with them when I was a child, so they hold very warm memories for me.
I added flat back pearls in an off white around the top, some black beaded trim around the glass base and some Recollections bling on the front and sides.

I think my mom would like how I've displayed her collection.

Trash to Treasures over

I'm so glad our "Trash to Treasure" day is over...now to put my house back in order.
We did well....a lot of people participated and we had a steady stream of people for the 4 hours it was open.
Hubby sold all his tools and we only brought back a couple of things that we're donating to our church this Thursday for their missions rummage sale next weekend.

We had a great time on Friday....I got my new Cinch...Joann's is clearing them out of their stores so it was marked down 50% off and because it was employee appreciation day I got an additional 30% off that price....all in all it cost me $42.00!
I'm doing the happy feet dance...oh yeah!
Bonus....they were clearing out all the supplies as well so I picked up several pkgs. of wires for more than half off.
Was a good weekend!
Relaxing a bit and then on to cleaning....have a blessed day!

Newest Mini

 Front cover.
This was the first one I made solely from paper and bound with wire.
The pages are all different shapes and sizes.
Love this Tim Holtz birdcage die.
 Pockets and Tags
The right side is a stamped birdcage on acetate.

This right page is my newest embossing folder from Hobby Lobby.
 Left page is file folder.
Left side is tag using a Prima stamp package.

I'll be doing a YouTube video on this project soon.
Enjoy the moment!

Thought for Today

Yesterday
is already a dream
and
Tomorrow
is only a vision
but
Today
well lived makes every
Tomorrow
a vision of hope.

Enjoy this day!

Not your traditional Valenitine card....

Here is the Valentine card I made for my beloved....I know not your traditional V-card...but I'm not that fond of man made holidays....but non the less, it's a time to make him feel extra special.
Close up of the front ....here are the materials I used:
Black cardstock
Kraft cardstock
White cardstock
Spellbinder - Fleur De Lis Squares
Tim Holtz - Rosette die
Martha Stewart corner punch
Studio 112 dimensional sticker and gems from Joann's
Color Box Chalk pad in Burnt Sienna
Recollection pearls

For the inside I used a piece of Kraft cardstock corner punched with an EK Success punch. Stamped a vintage car from a Tim Holtz stamp set and printed out a sentiment as well as personal words to my honey!

OBTW......he loved it!

Before and after small suitecase!

Picked up this little lovely last week at my local thrift store and decided to alter it.
The outside was a dark brown and the inside a kraft look. I painted the entire outside an ivory color and then distressed ti with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distress ink.
I added the flat back pearls all around the top. The flower in the lower right corner is from my wedding dress that I sprayed with Tattered Angels "Caramel Apple"....my one and only TA..lol! The flower int he upper left corner is one of my handmade crape paper flowers. The piece next to it is also from my wedding dress sprayed with the TA!
This is the inside lid....the paper letter is from a collage sheet from an old magazine, the hankie looking fabric I found in my stash. The beaded face is one of mine and the other piece is also from my wedding dress sprayed with the TA spray. You can also notice I glued a brocade trim all around the inside case.
The inside I just cut a piece of pattern paper and the shoes are stickers that I distressed with Vintage Photo ink and added some K & Company dimensional stickers!
These two pics are a closer look at the flowers.
There's a little mini I made to go inside....that will be posted soon.
