What a view.....love this ride up to Temecula

Yummy and fun....

Getting ready for our Thanksgiving dinner party tonight...here are some fun napkin holders I made this morning.

This is the start of my homemade apple sauce....oh, I wish you could smell the aroma.....yummmmmy!

Below are some candy filled sour cream containers I make last night for each guest to take home. The bucket is one I painted about 10 years ago.

Maybel and Hector are waiting for your guests and crowing about the smell from the apple sauce...LOL!

Here they are....

Here are the fabric pumpkins I made for our dinner party tonight....they are both made from upholstery samples that I've had for awhile....nice way to use them up.
The top pumpkin, I used a vintage looking floral pattern and a greenish blue suede fabric. I hot glued a green beaded trim I received from a dear friend, Linda from YT and silk leaves with some silk flowers.....I added some glitter glue in gold around the bottom silk flower.
It really doesn't show up in this picture.
With this pumpkin I used three different plaid samples and the stem I used a green suede sample. The trim is a red fringe type I purchased at Joann's. The leaves are a fall color and I hot glued a warm white silk flower on top.
The square piece of quilted fabric under the pumpkin was made by my friend Janet...she's a wonderful quilter and if you get a chance go check out her blog.

Sewing again...

Picked out the fabric now to pin, cut and sew a new little festive Thanksgiving pumpkin for the house....the one above I made for my DIL for her Thanksgiving Day family gathering.
Love the vintage look of this one.
I also have visions of placemats and table runner dancing in my head....oh my!

Happy Halloween

Trunk or Treat

We had a fun night of "Trunk or Treat" Halloween night at church. We had a Chili cook off...smelled good but I'm not a chili eater, all sorts of other food and line dancing...oh yeah and lots and lots of kids....they make Halloween!

Now there's a car you don't see anymore....I was looking for Marty Mcfly but didn't see him..lol!

Loved the Boo Kids...I made this years ago...I'm talking 1996...I still think they are so darn cute!

There were hay rides and look below pony rides for the kids also a petting zoo but it was too crowded to get pics. Check out the beautiful sunset in the background...going to be a nice warm day tomorrow.

Our friends, Mike and Theresa brought their bikes and let the kids and grown ups sit on them.....the best picture of the night....this little girl's face says it all...heehee!

Happy Halloween everyone!
