Sunflower mini
Today I want to share a mini I made for a dear friend of mine. It's all about her first great grandchild who's her biggest blessing.
I got this idea from watching a YT video by Regan at Emora Designs.
She made it look so simple but I had a bugger of a time getting the paper to adhere to the chipboard.....why I do not know but the end result was worth it!

I used the Sizzix originals die "Sunflower #2" from the outlet store...I checked and it's still available for $2.39. I cut 12 light chipboard pieces and 12 out of white card stock.
I than colored each card stock with my Luminarte Radient Pearls by Creative Imaginations. I've had these paints for years and they are still as juicy as when I first bought them.
I wish you could see how shimmery they really are....the color is more vibrant than any shimmer mist out there.
While the pages were drying I glued two flowers together with a 1 3/4" circle between them.

Once the pages were dry I glued a card stock flower to each side of the chipboard flower. The pictures were cut with the 1 3/4" circle and glued to the front of each flower.
Once I got everything glued down 3-4 times...I don't know what that was all about...I think I need to try the Zip Dry glue cuz the Scotch glue didn't work well. I used my Crop-A-Dile to punch holes and set eyelets.
I printed off the title and the verse above, off my printer and attached them to chipboard pieces.
I then used a piece of pink ribbon to attache the pages and an angel charm to the front.
Darn...the picture showing the back just got deleted....all I did was place a piece of pattern paper with a butterfly on it to the back circle.
I really like the way this mini turned out and probably will make another one for my grandchildren. Also, these would make great photo magnet gifts too!
That's it for today...enjoy your weekend and be as creative as you can not only in your art but in your life♥

Chipboard Sign....
Little something I made the other night...I tried to upload a video to YouTube...went all the way to the last 2 minutes then aborted....UGH!
So I'm posting it here instead.
So I'm posting it here instead.
I've seen so many people on YouTube with little signs for when they do videos I thought I'd make one myself. I used the K & Company paper line called "Floral Dreams"....absolutely gorgeous papers for the background. The chipboard is a piece left over from my "NOEL" banner I made a month ago...looks like I need pics for that one too....next post!
The flowers are Prima and were painted pinkish purple using Luminarte Paints by Creative Imaginations. At the time I purchased back a few years, they were called "Radiant Pearls"...I'm not sure if they make them anymore. These are my ultimate favorite for shimmer...the color as they dry get more intense and vibrant than every...better than any other glimmer spray out there....a little bit goes a very long way.
Ok let's get back to the sign.....now where was I......oh yes, the flowers.......the centers are tiny
I Am Roses white and purple roses that were gifted to me as well as the leaves. I too painted them with the shimmer paints.
The blue satin lollypop flower is my first attempt at making them.
I added some bling by Recollections and the butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch.
I used my dynamo label maker for the name...and that's it.

CC Creations....
I joined a card club with a great bunch of gals...we meet every month on the 1st Thursday of the month. We create 2 cards and learn a new technique each class. It's all beginner stuff but it's a night out and we have fun.
Here are the two newest creations we did and our technique was paper piercing and using embroidery floss...not my style...

The "Tea" card is a tea or chocolate holder. Makes a great teacher gift or a quick "I'm thinking of you" gift.
This one is...oh darn I forgot what she called....anyways you pull it on the sides and a little pop-up comes out the top with a saying on it...oh I remember it's called the "Z" card...what ever that means...lol!
Sorry this is not a better shot of the inside of the tea card but you can see that the center insert hold a couple of tea bags or it can hole a Ghirardelli chocolate square...yummm!
You know I use to be a great photographer with a 35mm but I stink with the digital. I could do all sorts of photo manipulation with the 35 but not with this digital...oh well times have changed and it is what it is!

Glitter bottles....
I thought I'd share my idea for storing my ultra fine glitters. I came up with this idea last September when I was going through the house collecting items for our garage sale....I found these little salt/pepper shakers in my cupboard. I thought what a great idea for my little packs of fine glitter....love how they work too.
Little did I know that Donna Salazar would come out with 3 big salt shakers of Fairy Dust at CHA....smile!
Now I'm on a mission to find another set of these, for the rest of my glitters.
I wonder if the larger salt/pepper shakers would work for my embossing powder? Looks like a trip to the .99 store is on the list today...I'll let you know how that works too.

Enjoying a nice leisure day.....hubby went to work at 4:30 this morning while I slept till 9!
So, I decided to make him a pot of home made applesauce. Cut up 6 lbs of apples while watching the latest CSI online. Gotta catch up on Bones later...:-D
